The Artist-in-Residence program at St Paul's Church, Ipswich provides a way for creative individuals from a range of disciplines to practise their art form within the community of St Paul's Church while engaging with the wider Ipswich community. Organist-in-Residence
Our inaugural Artist-in-residence is Dr Ross Windsor whose term as Organist-in-Residence began on 1 April 2025. As our Organist-in-Residence Dr Windsor will contribute to the musical mission of the Church within the broader Ipswich community. This role supports the Church’s long-standing musical tradition and aligns with the conditions of the Haenke Trust bequest regarding the use and maintenance of the historic J.W. Walker Organ
Composer-in-Residence
Dr Catherine (Cate) Carter will commence her role as Composer-in-Residence at St Paul's Church on 1 May 2025. During her appointment, Dr Carter will contribute to the understanding and celebration of St Paul’s historical ties with the broader Ipswich community by researching and composing a new work on the "Ipswich martyrs:" Annie Gordon and Mavis Parkinson.
